... about the idea

What service does ZELTHELD offer?

We rent you camping tents and accessories (such as camping chairs, tables, mattresses) at open air festivals and other similar events. We will have your tent pre-pitched and take care of all the necessary assembly before your arrival. Therefore we’re provided by the festival organizers with a separate area on the camping ground for this purpose which is usually centrally located between all important locations (stages, restrooms, foodcourts etc.). At some festivals we also offer hireable toilets and the opportunity to order drinks.

All rented items except tents and toilets however can be also picked up at our service tent and be used by you at the location of your choice.

You can freely choose the date and time of your arrival. You don’t need to queue up for the camp site opening to get a decent spot for your tent. You don’t even need to bring a tent nor do you have take care of transport and assembly/disassembly of the equipment. When you want to leave just give our service team a short notice and we’ll take care of the disassembly while you’re already on your way home.

So, how much is it?

For as low as € 28 (depending on festival and date of booking) you can spend the whole festival in one of our tents and you don’t even have to bother with all the inconvenient rest like assembly/disassembly. The prices in our online shop are always for the whole duration of the festival whether it’s a two day or four day festival and whether you use our equipment two or even four days. All prices are including tax (vat).

The important part though is that all of our equipment has to be present and undamaged at your departure. That’s the reason why we need a security deposit for all rent items which will be immediately transferred back to you after you returned all items in proper fashion. The amount of the security deposit varies from product to product and is listed next to each item on our page.

We can tell from our experience that 95% of the items are returned properly and without objection so the full amount of the security deposit will be paid back. Because everything we rent is only AAA quality and stability. We know what camping equipment has to withstand.

NOTICE: The festival ticket is not included (as well as camping fees, garbage deposit or other fees of the organizer). In exceptional cases we clearly indicate otherwise.

How is the booking process?

First of all you should choose a specific festival in the category “festivals” for which you want to rent a tent or the accessories. Then you can look at the available equipment and prices in the categories “products”. When you made your choice add the item to the shopping cart. When you got everything you need in your shopping cart just go to the “checkout” to finish your order. You can pay via credit card, paypal or transfer the money into our bank account. If you pay via money transfer it’s important that the amount of money for the rent and the security deposit is in our bank account within 14 calendar days after booking, but not later than four working days prior to the start of the festival. Immediately after the clearance of your payment we’ll send you the “ZELTHELD” booking confirmation by e-mail.

If you arrived on our page directly through a festival website (e.g. through our banner ad) the festival of your choice will be automatically selected and you’re instantly ready to add your items into the shopping cart.

Where will tents be located?

We have access to our own area on the festival camping site which will always be centrally located between the most important places like the stages, restrooms or foodcourts. All of our rented out tents as well as our service tent which will be staffed 24hrs will be in this area which provides for a ideal camping experience and more security - because this place will be mostly frequented just by other tenants and our service team is always nearby.

If you want to camp somewhere else then let us know in advance (e.g. via e-mail containing your booking number) and you can pick up all of your ordered equipment at our service tent and haul it to your spot. Before you leave you just bring everything back to us and that’s it. NOTICE: tents and toilets are usually excluded from this service - please check with us before booking.


... about Booking

Is the price for the whole duration of the festival?

Yes, the prices in our online shop are always for the whole duration of the festival whether it’s a two day or four day festival and whether you use our equipment two or even four days. All prices are including our services (assembling and disassembling, reception) and tax (vat).

Can I also rent camping equipment without booking a tent?

Yes, of course! All rented items except tents and toilets however can be also picked up at our service tent and be used by you at the location of your choice.

Why I didn´t get my booking/payment confirmation?

Your booking confirmation will be send by our online shop automatically as soon as you finished your booking. The payment confirmation will be send by us manually when we have received your money. Please check your SPAM folder of your e-mail box because some e-mail boxes are very sensitive and classify our mails as spam. Should the mails also not be there, please contact us.


... about security deposit

When I get back my security deposit?

For your consolation you should know that until today we have not had any problems; our guests were all satisfied and happy. We were always able to refund the complete deposit within two weeks after the festival. Usually the payment goes back to the account it was paid from (so if you are using paypal for example, it will be refunded through paypal). But in some cases (very rarely though, for various reasons) this is not possible. Therefore we ask for your bank account information; in this case the security deposit will be go right back into your bank account.

Will I get back my security deposit if a hurricane happens to blow my tent away?

Yes, this is a very unpleasant scenario and hopefully this will never happen, but if it does, you will be refunded with your full security deposit. We bear the risk of forces of nature.

Will I get back my security deposit if other persons destroy my equipment?

Well, usually the person is liable who has caused the damage. So you should try to bring the identity of that person in experience – if necessary with the help of police or festival security. In any case, you should inform us immediately. We always strive to resolve any such matter generously in favor of the tenant. Until today we have not had any problems with vandalism. If you notice or observe any kind of vandalism, please report this immediately and at any time to our team on-site.

Will I get back my security deposit if my equipment is stolen?

If the thief can not be identified and convicted, we can not refund the deposit of course. If you notice or observe a theft, please report this immediately and at any time to our team on site. To discourage theft while you are away, you should store all loose items in your tent or ask friends to keep an eye on it. In our camp, our team is round the clock on site and has a keen eye but we can not give any guarantee against theft.

By the way: we DO NOT recommend the using of tent locks! This is pointing to valuable content and it represents no obstacle for a thief (at the end you have also a cutted tent).


... about the camping area

Can I take my tent to a different area of the festival campsite?

Unfortunately not, since we have an assigned camping area and we will set up the tents before you arrive.

But all other items however can be also picked up at our service tent and be used by you at the location of your choice.

Can I pitch an additional tent/tarp/pavillon beside my tent on the ZELTHELD area?

No, normally not because we have to use our space in an optimal way. In exceptional cases, however, we can provide this to you. Please clarify this in advance with us.

Can my friends visit me at the “ZELTHELD” tent area?

Normally this is no problem because usually we don´t use fences. If it´s not possible (e.g. because our area is separated) we clearly communicate this at our website.


... about arrival

Where can I check-in when I first arrive?

Simply go to our service tent which is not missable on our camping site (branded pavillon). Normally our area is also marked in the festival map. Additionally you receive an e-mail with a description and a hotline number of our crew on-site a few days before the festival.

Arrived at our service tent you register with your name or booking number and you’ll be shown your tent and/or be given your rented items.

Do I need to bring a printout of the booking confirmation?

Yes, please bring your booking confirmation. This will save a lot of time and you can check into your pre-pitched tent much sooner.

When can I first check in?

You will be able to check in anytime during the official opening hours of the camping ground set by the organizers themselves. We do not have any influence on different opening hours of the camping grounds.

When do I have to check out at the latest?

The last time for check out is one hour before the official closing time of the camping ground.

My planned arrival time is changing! What to do?

No problem. Your specified arrival time only serves to avoid waiting times at check-in. However, if it differs extremely, we would appreciate to get a short message from you (by phone or e-mail). This is especially true if your arrival takes place at night.

Where can I park my car?

In most cases we are located in an area WITHOUT parking. If not stated otherwise, you will have to use the parking areas suggested by the festival organizers.

Can I bring my pets?

No animals; neither dogs nor cats or even your ferret should be at the festival site. We firmly believe that this is not a good place for your animals as it will be too stressful for them, so please ask your family and friends to take care of your animals while you are away.

Is there someone I can call if I can’t find the camping site at the festival ground?

Sure! On the confirmation e-mail you will find a telephone number of our service team on site. Just call and someone will be right there to help you.
